I've got a brand new CD - a compact video cum audio collection of all songs from Maniratnam movies :) That was a thoughtful gift given to someone like me - a big time fan of MR.

And yes, I named it - MUSICALLY MANIRATNAM :))

I was enjoying myself, each n every song was fresh n breathtaking as if I was listening to it for the first time. My all time favourite...Thoongaadha vizhigaL penned by Vaali, composed in Raagaa Amruthavarshini sung by S Janaki and KJ Yesudaas was just enchanting as ever. A masterpiece without SPB though :( The humming is really really difficult n till date I admire the ease with which Yesudaas has sung it. Man! IR knows where to draw the line between Carnatic n light!! Doesn't he? And I dedicate this post to all those MR,IR fans out there :)
