Maiden attempt

He was a handsome, successful, young doctor. But he broke the ground rule and got emotionally involved with his patient. She was so beautiful that he couldn't resist. They said she was an orphan but by looks he knew she was from a cultured family. She was too weak when they brought her to him, her health was in a pretty bad shape. She was only half-conscious and trembled under his first touch. It was at that moment that he decided that she belonged to him.

He treated and took good care of her day and night and his efforts were very well rewarded. She regained her complete strength and started enjoying his company. He kept telling her that she was his Princess and she was overjoyed. It was time for her to be discharged from the hospital. He discussed it with his mother and the understanding mom welcomed her son's idea. He took her to his house and told her she was also part of the family.

She looked at him starry eyed, filled with gratitude, and she did not know how to express her happiness. She liked his soft-spoken, affectionate mom too and made up her mind to serve them and care for them all her life.

They made the best pair - he, a warm hearted vet and she, a loyal pet dog. And they lived happily ever after.
