At times it so happens that u start singing the charanam of one song and end up with the pallavi of some other song or the vice versa. Last week, I was in a totally confused state and started singing to relax myself.
Result: My listeners (the count of which is facing the threat of extinction) started pichufying their thalai coz of my wierd combination of pallavis and charaNams. To quote a few....

I've done this too, aana unnai mathiri ivlo deepa confuse aagala :p
Actually, i realised if two songs have some common music, i end singing one para from song 1 and finish it with song2 :)
Ivlo dedicationa?hmm..idha college-la kaati irundha, nammellam engayo poyirukkalam :p

neenga "saptha swarangal" participate pannalaam.... there these kinda things r competitive.... but, it all lies in the songs..... maybe they hav a similar base tune or raaga behind....
actually dhamu used to do something like this, start with a song, nadula ethachum oru word la vera paattu, appram athulernthu innonnu appdi.... I was inspired by this n used to do it sometime back... to give u an example,
raathiriyil poothirukkum 'thaamarai' kannangal, thenmalar kinnangal, ethanai 'vannam' konda vennilave, vaanam vittu 'vaarayo' vennilaave, kelaayo enthan 'kathai' kelu kathai kelu, nijamaana kathai kelu....
appdi poikitte irukkalaam.... it will be interesting.... the words inside '' actually form the bridge between the 2 songs....

like kumari said...if there are two songs based on the same ragam, then most of us tend to mix up the stanzas.

The game that u'd mentioned is an interesting one, we call it word Antakshari and play it quite often :)
